Turning the Clock Back

Turning the Clock Back

Apr 18, 2023

Since the start of 2023, the Lord has repeatedly spoken a word of preparation to my heart.

In January the Holy Spirit gave me a picture of an angel inserting a long rod of wood into a deep hole in the ground—a hole which was surrounded by nothing but barren landscape. The angel began to rotate the rod in a counter-clockwise motion, and the Lord said, “I am turning the clock back”. I knew at that moment that the rod represented an old-fashioned key which was used to wind a pocket watch. I also knew that the rod being inserted into the ground was crucial: God was saying that He was turning the clock back IN THE LAND.

Over the ensuing months, the Holy Spirit has spoken clearly regarding this shift:

I am turning things upside down, flipping them topsy-turvy. This flipping will be quick and powerful. Nothing will remain untouched. What has been seen as “right” in the land will be known to be WRONG once again. Things are shifting. Gears and wheels which have been stuck will move. I will turn the clock back specifically in Africa and in Europe, and major seismic shifts will take place. Believe Me for the overturning of wickedness, for the buying back of the land. I am redeeming the land. Restoring the land. Recompense is coming. Restitution. I will restore. I am restoring all things. I am putting things to right, and My name will be glorified among the nations. Will My Bride make herself ready? Clothe yourself in white garments, so that the shame of your nakedness may not be seen. Be zealous and REPENT (Revelation 3:18-19), for My words shall come to pass just as I have spoken them.

As the Lord has spoken, I have had a strong sense in my spirit regarding the posture of the Bride in preparation for this shift.

First, I believe the Lord is calling His Church to true repentance. Revelation 3:19 records the words of Jesus, “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.” Because of His great love for His Bride, He is calling us to the consecration of contrition. Any attitudes of unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment and even hatred must be laid down at the foot of the cross. We should be eager to bring areas of hidden sin into the light so that we can walk free. It is time for us to keep in step with the Spirit, emancipated from the entanglements and compromise with which the enemy has kept us bound. The Holy Spirit is calling His Church to WAKE UP (Eph. 5:8-21), fill our lamps with oil (Matt. 25:1-13) and RUN the race with endurance which He has set before us (Heb. 12:1-2), hearts ablaze with a hunger for more of Jesus!

Second, the Lord has used the words RESTORATION, RESTITUTION, RECOMPENSE and REDEMPTION repeatedly over the past four months. I am convinced that we need to believe not only for a supernatural and holy move of God to accomplish these things in our land, but we also need to declare and stand in the gap for His words to come to pass.

Third, I believe that this word is not only corporate, but it is also incredibly personal. There are many in the Body of Christ who have endured a difficult season of stripping and wilderness wandering, a season in which possessions, reputation, relationships, dreams and calling have been snatched out from under them. For those who have chosen to respond by allowing themselves to “fall to the ground and die”(John 12:24-26), I believe the Lord is saying NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE ABUNDANT HARVEST! Those who have trusted in Christ alone as their protector and defender will see the Father releasing a mighty recompense over their lives. As we position ourselves in a posture of humility, trusting the Lord to be our advocate and our promoter, He will come with a mighty shout to restore and redeem!

“Therefore all who devour you shall be devoured, and all your foes, every one of them, shall go into captivity; those who plunder you shall be plundered, and all who prey on you I will make a prey. For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal,’ declares the Lord, ‘because they have called you an outcast: “It is Zion, for whom no one cares!” Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwellings; the city shall be rebuilt on its mound, and the palace shall stand where it used to be. Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small. Their children shall be as they were of old, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all who oppress them. Their prince shall be one of themselves; their ruler shall come out from their midst; I will make him draw near, and he shall approach me, for who would dare of himself to approach me?’ declares the Lord. ‘And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.’”

Just Released!

Into the Wilderness has just been published!

Tiffany brings us face-to-face with the reality that the heat of our desert is no match for the love of our Savior. Into the Wilderness reminds us that even in the bleakest of life’s landscapes, hope can flourish.

“Throughout the entire book, I found myself internally shouting, ‘Yes and amen!’ with tears rolling down my face, as I experienced the Lord’s presence, conviction, and hope.”
Rev. Alicia R. Jackson, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of Old Testament, Vanguard University
