This is a Season of Miracles!

Jul 18, 2023

We are in a pivotal moment in history.

At the beginning of 2023, the Holy Spirit spoke loudly to me about the vital importance of the Church understanding the crucial time and season in which we find ourselves.

On January 6, the Spirit woke me in the middle of the night with this quote from Charles Dickens: “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.

He then took me to Luke 19:41-44 and 1 Chronicles 12:32

“And when he (Jesus) drew near and saw the city (Jerusalem), he wept over it, saying, ‘Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.’”

“Of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, 200 chiefs, and all their kinsmen under their command.”

Jesus indicts the Jewish people for not having eyes to see and hearts to understand the season in which they were living. And more than that, He grieves over the fact that because they did not ACT by faith in accordance with that season, they would experience destruction. The Son of God had taken on flesh; the Kingdom of God was among them, and yet they were both blind and dumb to their hour of history.

In stark contrast, the description of David’s mighty men commends the warriors of Issachar as being those who both understood the times and knew what their nation ought to do in those vital moments.

Two weeks ago the Holy Spirit spoke again, “KNOW THE TIMES AND THE SEASONS.” Then He declared, “THIS IS A SEASON OF MIRACLES.”

As I asked Him for strategy on how to partner with Him in this, He took me to the story of Elisha and the widow of the prophet from 2 Kings 4:1-7, highlighting verse 2, “Then Elisha said to her, ‘What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?’ And she said, ‘Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.’”

Then the Lord said to me, “TAKE WHAT IS IN YOUR HAND.”

Just like that widow, we are stepping into a season of mighty, mind-blowing miracles. We are going to see God move in ways which we have never before experienced: He is going to provide lavishly, to heal incurable diseases, to tear down walls which seem impenetrable. He will defeat giants which have stood in our paths for years. Those who have been tormented by demonic oppression will be miraculously delivered as they come in contact with regions or cities which are marked by the presence of God. He is going to rescue an entire generation out of the pit of darkness, shouting salvation over every heart and sending forth His light to scatter the darkness. Jesus is going to shift the impossible so that it becomes possible, making a highway for the glory of God. Church, we need to get ready, because the very things which we have previously considered impossible will become our new normal!

But Jesus is requiring us to partner with Him. He says, “TAKE WHAT IS IN YOUR HAND”. Rather than looking at our circumstances and speaking death and despair over our families, our cities and our nation, we must take what is in our hand and offer it to the King, expecting that He will pour the miracle of His life-giving oil all over it, filling us to overflow with the mighty works of the Kingdom! What we have may look scanty, but in reality, we have a container of the most powerful resource on the planet—the oil of the Spirit of the Living God! And when we bring it to His feet in expectation, He will multiply that oil until there are no containers left to fill!

Church, we must UNDERSTAND THE TIME AND THE SEASON in which we are living and ACT ACCORDINGLY. The time for business as usual is LONG PAST. This is the season in which we must step out in radical faith, believing in radical faith that the Holy Spirit is mighty to work on our behalf—and as we do, HE WILL WORK WONDERS!

Just Released!

Into the Wilderness has just been published!

Tiffany brings us face-to-face with the reality that the heat of our desert is no match for the love of our Savior. Into the Wilderness reminds us that even in the bleakest of life’s landscapes, hope can flourish.

“Throughout the entire book, I found myself internally shouting, ‘Yes and amen!’ with tears rolling down my face, as I experienced the Lord’s presence, conviction, and hope.”
Rev. Alicia R. Jackson, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of Old Testament, Vanguard University
